Meet your farmers
Welcome to our farm! We are Becky and Orlin, first-generation farmers who started in accounting and law enforcement. In early 2021, we re-assessed our priorities and decided it was time for a change that would allow us closer family connection, access to the freshest high-quality food, and a way to give back to our community. So, we did what any reasonable family would do - packed up our things, moved three hours to northern Wisconsin, and started a small farm on 40 acres. Orlin has become a full-time farmer and Becky continues to work as an accountant while also working on the farm. Some might say she’s a bean counter by day, bean planter by night.
We love food
It’s pretty simple - we love to prepare and eat food. But we also have high standards. We want only the freshest produce grown in a way that also gives back to the land it is grown on. Although we are not certified as an organic farm, we use organic practices to grow our produce and raise our chickens. This means no pesticides, herbicides, or harmful chemicals are used on our farm. Our chickens are raised in our pasture, so they can do what they do best - eat bugs & grasses while enjoying the outdoors. We are also working towards converting our farm to no-till practices which will increase our soil health and help us fight weeds, pests, and diseases with increased efficiency.
Our commitment to community
We want to be able to give our local communities access to the highest quality food possible and have a connection to their farmers who provide it. We want to share our love of food with others by not only providing a large variety, but also assistance in ways to prepare & preserve it. Our CSA members also get a chance to spend time on the farm, whether relaxing, helping with harvest, or taking a tour. Our goal is to provide future on-farm classes and other events.
